I create spare, poetic landscapes which serve as breathing spaces; and closeups of the human body, birds and butterflies as mirrors of our shared vulnerability and Desire.
The blue sky is an invocation of the infinite. I find myself drawn to the opulent blues and golds of Byzantium and the severity of a minimal, modern aesthetic. There are many more contradictions in my work—gravity and grace, healing and violence, fragmentation and wholeness, infinite and personal, void and form.
